At some point, it would be nice to hear a solution offered from those opposed to gun restrictions, as to what to do to help prevent these random spree shootings from occurring on a regular basis. We only hear what shouldn't be done ... and the standard bull $hit rhetoric, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families tonight."

It makes it seem like right-wingers are either comfortable with the status quo ... or they simply don't have any solutions of their own.

Did you click on the link I posted? Under 5 year old kid with brains leaking out under the legs of a guy with half his face blown off, with another person under him. That seems to constitute a stack.

I have no idea what you video showed but out of curiosity do you have the bona fides of whatever video it was? All the eye witness accounts I’ve heard on local news matched the bodies under sheet description. There were four individuals covered. That was bad enough. How many were “stacked” in your video because if it was more than four it’s bogus.

... and this problem of random spree shootings goes far beyond schools. This latest incident in Allen, Texas happened at a mall. A few years back, a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas was shot up and it left 26 people dead. How about that?

All the eye witness accounts I’ve heard on local news matched the bodies under sheer description. There were four individuals covered. That was bad enough. Im gonna be honest, not toatally sure what yall are arguing about, but police confirmed a bit ago 8 plus shooter, so 9 dead, 4 critical in the hospital and 3 others in the hospital.

I didn't link the video, but I linked a Twitter user that posted the video. It's there. Honestly, it should be an Emmet Till open casket funeral type moment for America, but I know it won't be.

I hear you. These things keep happening. Nothing ever changes. The only thing there is to do, is hope it doesn't impact you or a member of your family one day. That's it.

If this keeps up there's going to come a time when even the most ardent right will ask what have we done? Until then we'll just have to live with it I guess.

There are more guns in the US than humans. Even if we banned gun sales tomorrow, it would be years before things really slowed. Anybody with a grudge or mental issues can get a gun, either directly or through alternative means. They're like mushrooms after a spring rain.

I do not favor arming teachers en masse.

I feel for the people of Las Vegas, and Buffalo, and Aurora, and Allen, TX.

But I’m interested in stopping it at Schools first. It’s about the Children. Remember? Something must be done. Remember?

There are things we can do to harden Schools right now. But they are rejected immediately, because all people like you want to do is talk about access to and existence of these weapons of war.

You are only interested in curbing rights.

I'm sure some of your suggestions about "hardening" schools could help. Some of them might even be practical ... but for the most part, the right-wing seems to be hoping that random spree shootings will just eventually stop on their own. That appears to be a long shot at this juncture.

I see both sides of this debate,but in the last month, I can't open my phone without the news app mentioning another mass shooting. Probably going to figure a way to close it. Not ignoring it,but unless we figure a way somehow decrease this kind of violence happening,it will continue for the foreseeable future.

So your position is either we fix it all at once or nothing gets fixed?

We can make Schools the last target a madman with a weapon would ever choose to attack. We can do that today.

And we can do that without compromising anyone’s constitutional rights.

But you’re not interested.
