I pay very close attention to those populations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. So what do you consider overpopulated? Also, why are we having to reintroduce native animals?

The best way to look at filling out the form and waiting on the BG check is so the seller can cover his/her backside. The seller does not have to sell you a gun even if you pass the BGC.

History tells us that hunting does need to be regulated because people aren’t capable of regulating themselves. This a proven, historical fact. So unless you like seeing species become extinct from excessive unregulated hunting, like they have in the past, then yes, hunting regulation is necessary. Anything else is just short-sighted.

Statistics also tell us that gun regulations work in the prevention of gun violence. Wish that weren’t true, but again, human nature dictates that people can’t or won’t police themselves. I’m of the opinion that not everyone deserves the privilege of gun ownership, because it’s a responsibility, and a serious one.

I consider deer to be overpopulated when they are eating my landscaping to nothing, laying around in my yard with no fear and getting hit daily on the road.

I'm sympathetic to your hunting (and conservation in general) approach for the most part. It's simply a numbers game. Having said that one should be able to take whatever/whenever on one's private property.

I'm much less sympathetic with most of what I've seen from your firearms postings.

For one, people are capable of regulating themselves, but that's besides the point. Regulation leads to overregulation leads to overbearing government. And we sure as hell know government is incapable of regulating itself.

Gun ownership is a right, not a privilege. I'm sure plenty of people in Chicago and LA would disagree with your assertion that gun regulations prevent violence.

They are 100% in it for the money. If some meth head goes in and want's to buy a gun all twitchy like but he passed the BGC, What would you do? Hide behind some lawyer if he kills someone the next day? Next time you're in one, ask the shopkeeper about it.

It's illegal to sell a gun to someone who appears intoxicated or under the influence.
