Not a gun guy, so correct me if I'm wrong on this. But can't you just enumerate the models you're banning. If otherwise permissible models are modified in some specified way, you can ban those by specifying the illegal modifications. For future models, you just specify what features are permissible or not permissible.

It's not like there's some deep metaphysical question about the nature of an assault rifle.

Wouldn't it just be easier to stop trying to bastardize the 2A and move on with your life?

The words Assault Rifle is used as propaganda by the left wing machine and gun grabbers to scare people that know nothing about firearms . Same same with trying to say a semi automatic weapon is the same thing as a full auto . I hear on this board all the time that “ words matter “ that doesn’t seem to be true with firearms .

If guns were banned the only ones that would have them besides criminals would be the Government.

I think 3d printing guns would explode wide open if guns were banned.

Nope! Just get the support to modify the definitions called out in NFA1934! Call back when you have actual support to change automatic and semiautomatic to scary black gun that triggers me and just a plain ole huntin gun.

Also let’s see how that works out by flowing down to state level where states like Missouri have banned enforcement of federal gun laws within their states boundaries. You don’t have anywhere near the support your claiming.

My post was obviously in jest. I recognize there will always be privately held guns (I won't be one of those), but we can do a lot to tighten ownership requirements and the types of guns we're putting out there.

Not really necessary since there are almost 400M guns owned by civilians in the US. Almost 50% of the world's small arms are in the hands of US civilians.

The thing we as gun owners all know is the progressive left wants to get rid of guns . The problem is , it’s an elephant so you have to eat it one bite at a time to make it go away . First you make the rifle scary ( assault rifle , weapons of war ) then you come out with the garbage you are seeing now we must do away with semi autos ( I just read where that lying socialist Brennan ) said that . Semi autos make up the bulk of all the new guns now . Then after they get that , the only thing left is single shot firearms ( after all its what the forefathers had right ? ) but wait , our single shots are far more powerful than theirs were therefore , we the government , will decide if you need something that powerful based on your past medical records . I said all of that to say this ... they , you , whoever you are , can cry , whine or plead but you aren’t getting my guns . Disclaimer : in case of future use as public information ... I Have No Guns . 👀

That was a cute reply , now tell me ... is there one side of the isle that actively seeks to take my firearms ? I shouldn’t need protection for my rights . They aren’t whims , privileges or trophies . I do however only see one side using propaganda to scare the people that do not know about firearms .
