Gun control debate (merged)

Actually everyone knows the impossibility of that task, except for the "they're going to come and take your guns" group of misguided simpletons.
Well I have faith that most Americans tend to be law abiding people. Gun owners especially. Gun confiscation would be the straw that breaks the camel's back however, and we would all become 'criminals'.

What I can't figure out is why you are so afraid of an inanimate object that you are willing to risk this. Mine still haven't killed anybody.

At least I know which bathroom to use, and not surprisingly, you completely miss the point of my post.

I thought that only the conservatives and NRA members are the ones threatening others with guns.

If repealing the 2A is seen as an impossibility, why are there multiple articles within the left's propaganda networks about doing just that?

Good, I'd rather them go through the correct process than continue going around the constitution.

Considering the requirements for repealing any amendment, the original framers had a clear understanding that if one were to be repealed, then a majority would be required. Thus protecting each amendment from a particular group in power by making changes as they preferred without the majority of the states and legislative branches involved.

What I don't understand is that those who are so eager to repeal the 2A fail to realize that once it's gone, what is left to protect the remaining ones?

It's definitely not impossible. When a government goes with universal healthcare the very next thing is taking guns. The rest is icing on the cake and said country is then in full blown socialism.

WTF where is the forward assist on that cheap ass upper?!

Is that an ACOG sight? The STS mag looks a little like my EOTECH but I’m pretty sure it isn’t one.

That’s an old school metal 20 round mag too. I’ve got a couple of those. But it looks a bit big. Is that an AR-10?

Ways to go out of business.

I don’t see how Dicks stays open. Their prices are crazy compared to Academy or Amazon. The last time I went in there looking for a kayak the only one they had that matched my needs was badly scraped and had busted tie downs. I pointed it out and the guy said he could give me half off the tiedown replacement kit. Lol.

When's the last time you actually used a forward assist? (trust me, that upper ain't cheap)

Aimpoint CompM4 with a magnifier

Yes, it's a Larue 7.62 model.

I don’t think larue makes anything that would qualify as even remotely cheap.

I will have one, one day....

I was just talking smack I figured it was a nice gun 😬 I like the palm swell on that grip too.

Looking at the mag I figured it had to be a 7.62.

And I used the forward assist on my damn Remington VTR Predator right after I bought it 🤬 first time out I just ran a brush thru the bore before breakin. Damn thing would not seat the bolt till I tore it all the way down, scrubbed it and reoiled it. Yeah I was lazy I know. Learned my lesson and completely cleaned my LE6920 before I ran a round thru it. Yes, both have fed smooth as butter since.

Yep, they are going full potato.

Florida Bill Would Outlaw Minors Posting Gun Photos on Social Media | National Review

A new Florida bill would make it a crime for a minor to post a picture of a gun — “or a device displayed to resemble a firearm” — on social media.

The bill, SB 1310, was introduced by Florida state senator and Democrat Jason W. B. Pizzo.

The bill states that anyone younger than 18 “who posts or publishes a picture of a firearm, a BB gun, an air or a gas-operated gun, or a device displayed to resemble a firearm to a social media page, post, profile, or account that is openly viewable to the public commits a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable” by a fine of $1,000 or up to a year in jail.

Furthermore, as if throwing kids in jail for innocuous social-media posts isn’t going far enough, the bill has provisions to punish their parents, too:

(2)(a) Any parent or guardian of a minor, or other adult responsible for the welfare of a minor, if the minor possesses a firearm in violation of this section, may, if the court finds it appropriate, be required to participate in classes on parent education which are approved by the Department of Juvenile Justice, upon the first conviction of the minor. Upon any subsequent conviction of the minor, the court may, if the court finds it appropriate, require the parent to attend further parent education classes or render community service hours together with the child.

And is this just hysteria? Nope, actually introduced:
