good read but does lex think the players are the problem, the coaches, or both. i couldn't tell because he commented on florida having 20 eric berrys to our one but then talked about the team being unprepared and some fans thinking fulmer's as good as we can do. i think we have the players and athletes to compete and win but need a regime change. provided the choice of a new coach is the right one, we should began competing for championships right away. no need at all to rebuild unless it's to obtain players that will fit into a certain system.

I apologize that the clarification is needed. Due to personal constriants, I have to write these articles in quite a hurry.

The point I was trying to make is that we have some talent on these teams, but we have fewer playmakers than the elites. There are still some on this board that think we have enough talent to compete for championships. Those days are behind us.

One could argue that last year's class is a good building block, and that may be true, but I don't trust CPF to develop those players. The way I see it, only a dramatic scheme change will allow the Vols to compete while they are restocking.

The responsibility for the talent gap and the way that we use the talent we have lies on the shoulders of CPF.
