You have a very good writing style. I do wonder what you meant by this:

Since his departure one could easily argue that the Vols have not had equal talent. On the other hand, the Dawgs have squandered much of what he has brought to their sidelines as well. At the risk of taking a great deal of heat from people that I respect, one could easily argue that Rodney and Phil needed one another.

Are you comparing the coaching of RG's recruits at UGA and UT? Do you think that he is still bringing in the same type of talent to UGA but they haven't capitalized on it?

I do think Georgia has squandered a window of opportunity in 2004 that RG helped provide. I don't think the Dawgs have ever had the kind of talent the Vols had during the championship run. Especially offensive talent.

Recently the Dawgs have enjoyed a talent edge over the Vols. Some years the difference is more evident than others.

If I were a Dawgs fan, I would be anxious for St. Richt to beat Florida, and would be very disturbed about a South Carolina loss this year.

Thanks for all of the kind words. Criticism is welcome as well.

Plano I do not remember Dead Ernest. I do remember "Down to Earth".

In the very early seventies, Dead Ernest hosted the Friday night horror theatre. I always thought it was Bill Tosh dressed up in zombie drag. God, I'm old! This was probably when Turner had the UHF station in Atlanta before he cranked up TBS.
