Another great edition Lex. Hope Phil isn't just rearranging deck chairs as we head under icy waters.

It's little coins like 'Voltanic' that make me dread what is coming in the offseason ahead. But as Fulmer has been wont to say lately...'We are where we are'... aren't we.

LEX.

Did you ever get those Bill Battle stories?

I have actually been playing phone tag with my source. They are out on the west coast this week. Perhaps I will try to compile a few and use them in Guitar Shots for the off week.

OW, we are all sorry that it seems to have come to this. We express it differently, but the transition, when and if it occurs will take an emotional toll (for most of us anyway).

I really enjoy reading your blogs. You have some real talent besides drinking bourbon standing upside down. Nice job.

Good points all Lex, but for me the whole shootin' match can be summed up by your last statement about our swagger......just where is that swagger we used to have anyway ? Yes I wished we had a Todd Kelly or a Chuck Smith or a Leonard Little that could make life miserable for an opposing QB, and yes I miss the Willie Gaults and Dale Carters that could change the momentum of a game in the blink of an eye but more than anything I miss that swagger we had up until the last 5 years or so ago. I long for the days when the BIG ORANGE would roll into to Athens or Baton Rouge with the mindset of one thing and one thing only " to kick ass and win the ballgame, to compete no matter what".

Yes we need better tackling and yes we need better blocking and yes we need better alot of things but I think a "little can do and gonna do attitude" would go a long ways toward helping in all the above. This Vol football team needs leadership from somewhere, this Vol team needs as you so rightly put it " its swagger".

Good job Lex.....:good!:

O+W hit the nail on the head with a post before the Florida game, and I must say you are correct. A little toughness goes a long way.

Hey Lex, ever considered a blog mascot? I've got a suggestion for the face of Guitar Shots:
