I was surprised in general at the attendance, a lot of empty seats. It was also hard to see Vol fans with the yellow seats. I think 7-8k maybe?

Was hard to tell sometimes. ABC did a large
number of "long" shots of the stadium. The fact that the seats are yellow (which is also a Pitt color) didn't help to distinguish much on TV.

At least to me though, looked like a helluva lot more than 10K empty seats. The upper deck was pretty empty except in the end zones.

I guess it’s hard to estimate the number, but my opinion is we had about 10k. I was in the lower level on the home side near the students and saw the entire other side.

Official attendance was 59,785. No way it was anywhere near that.
