For those who are not in Atlanta very often, here's some info about parking and some other things. I personally would suggest getting parking online so your not driving around forever trying to find a lot with availability (traffic and the roads can be annoying/confusing). It might cost more but could be worth the extra money. If you are going really early I think you will be fine not getting parking in advance. I was told the stadium opens at 5:00 but the Atlanta Falcons organization says it opens 2 hours before game time which is 6:00. Food in the stadium will be priced really good, all prices are the same as if you were to get it outside of the stadium. There is a really cool view from the third level out a massive glass window looking onto the skyline of Atlanta. If you have any questions I'll try and answer them. Hope everyone coming down has a safe trip.

Good stuff Techfan.

What is everyone saying about having the Chick fi la in the stadium that won't be open but one Falcon home game that's on a Thursday?

We also have Atlanta united (soccer team) that plays there. Plus it will host a ton of events, so it will be used a lot besides sundays.

I know that and concerts. But is any Falcon fans complaining? Just thought it was odd to put a food buisness in a NFL stadium that is closed on Sundays.

They would being saying more if it wasn't there to be open the other 6 days when events are happening. Most Falcon fans know what the rules are and seem to be fine with it. If they are not upset, why are you? No big deal.

Great stuff man, thank you. And thanks for being such a good contributor from another fan base. I always appreciate it and it takes character to step out of your comfort zone (aka another team's message board). It should really help for the game on the 4th.
Just a quick question though; honestly, how do you feel we match up? Your offense to our defense and vice-versa. What kind of chances do you give your team on a percentage level? I really try to be unbiased with the Vols but I would give us around a 70 percent chance. That's no knock on GT, I just honestly think we are going to be better than expected.
P.S. Coming from a fellow double science major who almost went to Georgia Tech (Decided to minimize my student debt with the state schools)

Seriously.... Everybody needs to have a plan.

Some college buddies and I went down to the Chik-fil-a Bowl vs VT. Basically got lost and ended up in a neighborhood we shouldn't have been in. Got pulled over by a cop who I'm sure suspected we were lost or looking for trouble. He gave us some good directions and we got the heck out of there.

I don't have a problem with it. Haven't researched anything about the stadium besides my tickets and was asking someone that lives there a question. They want to have strippers hand out Chick fi la more power to them.

Has the last sentence made out of the planning stages? Asking for a friend.

Since we're the away team I wonder what the uniform combination is going to look like?

All Gold vs All White?

That would be my pick.

If I were to be honest I would say it's about 50/50, if I wasn't being honest I'd say GT %100 lol. I think GT could win by 14+ but I also think UT could win by 14+ ( of course not in the same game lol) It will probably be pretty close though. I like to think I'm unbiased, I'll even argue with my dad when he starts to act like a homer. GT struggles on D against teams who throw a lot of quick routes because we play so far off the ball and aren't very aggressive, but about half way through the season we will get more aggressive and simplify things. From what I've heard we have simplified things to start the season so the guys can play faster. We generally play well against pro style offenses. On offense I think we fair pretty good against any D unless they are Clemson/Bama type D's. One thing I like about Paul Johnson is he's a straight shooter. In 2015 he said we weren't that good, even though we started off in the top 15, we needed up with 3 wins that year. Last year he said we can hang with anyone, and we pretty much did. This year he said he's not worried about QB, and this might be the best OL he's ever had at GT. So I'm not worried about offense. On the other hand he hasn't said much about defense, he's actually been kinda iffy sounding about the D. Our secondary is very very good. The issue with us giving up a lot of passing yards is, we don't get much pressure on the QB. Hopefully that will change, we have more depth on the D line then we've had in a while. He did say that we will probably have to play three true freshman that are LB's wether it be on special teams or on D. So I think we are thin there. I try to know a decent amount about the team we are playing. UT seemed to struggle on D last year, if the guys don't step up much we should score some points, especially if the rumors are true and y'all lose the DT and LB to suspension. Y'all had struggle tackling last year right? And controlling the LOS? I think our O fairs well against yalls D, and yalls O will probably fair pretty well against our D. Therefore it could be a pretty high scoring game, midd to high 30's for both teams.

It's one storefront in the whole joint, and it's shared, so it's not going to go to waste. Also, they're the "official" chicken joint of the Falcons so they pretty much had to get a spot in there.

It'll be open for our game. :)
