I know I will probably get blasted for this but.... I think he should keep the entire offensive staff. Now before you all go all ape **** on me. Some justification.

1. We will return 9 starters on offense and 8 will be Sr's. all those guys would have to learn a new system in our potentially best offensive team in decades.
2. Hinshaw is the recruiting coordinator and would provide a seamless transition to HCJG who has not been studying film over the last 3 years of HS players.
3. Pittman has done absolutely nothing to deserve to be gone no matter what.
4. Jay Graham..... Come in no need for explanation here.
5. If you want to bring in your staff on offense might as well do it the second year when he would know for sure who he wanted to keep and who to let go. Don't forget this is going to be a very expensive transition for the university and we would save a lot of money in buy outs.

I know a lot of people want Chaney gone but Gruden could slowly implement his offense through out the season and make Chaney deal with it. We all have heard how extensive grudens offense is and I really do think it would be better for him to come in and determine which plays he likes and and throw in periodically what he wants of his own.

Flame away!

Chaney has not had many good games calling plays. The offense as a whole has played better but his game plans have been very poor at times

All you have to do is look at what it has done to our defense this year to understand how detrimental it can be to change your whole philosophy in one season. Next year should be unbelievable for our offense.

You will get blasted for this. I can see Graham. Hinshaw brings some recruiting skill. If Pittman was kept, I would have to trust someone's judgement that is far superior to mine. I wouldn't complain.

Keeping Chaney is insane in my opinion. The rest are just a wash if you ask me.

Anyway, wouldn't these guys want to follow Dooley to his next job?

So if Chaney goes you all do realize our whole offensive play book is gone as well. Every player will have different assignments on every single play that 8 players will have studied for over three years and Tiny who will leave after next year will have been studying for over 2.

It has to start at some point. Gruden or not, this team won't be playing for a BCS championship next year.

I don't know. I think he brings his own staff of NFL all-stars with recruiting skills and they completely rebuild the current recruiting class, flipping the highest profile commits from Bama, Florida, Auburn, Ga, LSU, etc. with the promise that with the Tennessee staff you will be best prepared for the next level.

Need to put the fear of god into these other programs from day one!

You seriously expect Gruden to come in and keep Chaney's offense? They aren't even close in terminology. And you're talking about one of the brightest minds in football to a traveling salesman living off the reputation of Joe Tiller.

Are you blind? Do you know what kind of staff this guy can get? That's half the excitement right there. Or we can keep running streaks, fades, and wheel routes on 3rd and inches.

We WILL have the top offense in the country next year IF they don't have to start over and learn new assignments. If Gruden comes in and says they will have to all learn a new offense I think you see quite a few players leave early. If Bray thinks he will get to keep the same offense with SOME changes he stays same with Hunter, CP and James.

And with that -- Tenn is running numbered routes. WCO is entirely numbered protection and memorized plays with tags.

Swahili to Russian.

Why would they leave early when they could learn directly under one of Holmgren and Walsh's protégés? Seriously. Offense which has won multiple super bowls to one that cannot beat Kentucky.

Because they watched the defensive players look like **** all year learning a new system and would not want their stock to drop even more cause of play book intelligence.
