It looks like Greg Schiano has just landed the job as the NE Patriots Defensive Coordinator. Bellichick has always had high praise for Schiano. Let's see how the patriots defense is next year. We can always wonder what could have been!

Weird. I don’t see a lynch mob by the Boston media or Boston fans over a guy who was accused of seeing “something” in a double hearsay situation.

This officially marks the end of the Pats dynasty! Like Urban, Belichek will go from a smart and competent coach to a nut about to have a nervous breakdown on the sideline

Doesn't matter who the DC is in NE, as long as Bill is there.

I agree with this. I wouldn't want Schiano at the top - Head coach or GM - but as a DC I think he will be fine. I think he showed he can't handle setting the culture at the top when he was coaching the Bucs but as a DC I think BB will use him and be fine.

That said, I'm not sure I agree with everyone about how great the Pats defense was against the Rams last week. (It looked more like an anemic Goff/McVay/Rams effort to me than great defense shutting them down. There were some great plays by DBs but overall, Goff just looked horrible.) And I think Schiano has work to do up there.

It's an image rehab move. He won't be calling defensive plays I am guessing. He will just be a title holder and answer to Bill. But it will probably put a little gloss on his image so he can be a head coach someplace in a couple years.

Unless Belichick changes his coaching style, Schiano will call the plays.

(Although BB is the genius of the defense, he lets the coordinators handle the play calling).

They used to cheer for Aaron Hernandez.
