Green potential has been written about from before her knee injury and before she arrived on campus. Now with next year speculation don't forget she will be another 1/2 quality player who also has a year of learning the system. So as we speculate on the many positives for next year least we not forget the "first" recruit from year 2016.

Can those closer to the LV program provide additional information on her possible skill level as she recovers?

Not quite sure what you mean about Cheridene Green as a 1/2 player. She is, at 6'3", a 4/5 player who was an NJCAA All-American. Assuming she comes back from her ACL injury and surgery, she should be an excellent complement to and/or substitute for Mercedes Russell.

Yes, and Green likes to bang. And with Kasi, the five spot, Lady Vols have a lot sized after Mercedes. I can see Mercedes playing the 4, more than Green.

She rebounds out of position for her size, I like that part about her game, she's physical, she eats up space.

She is a player with a lot of International experience who played on England's National team. She came to the USA and enrolled in Junior College in ASA New York where she put up awesome numbers until she suffered the knee injury late in the season. Tennessee who had been watching her all season decided to offer her a scholarship despite the injury and she is here sitting out the year recovering.
We really don't know what she will bring in her first season because of the injury some players recover their old form and others take more than a year to get back to where they were.
She is the type of physical player we have needed for a long time. I would say she is an Anosike with a much better offensive game and if she gets back to her old form will be a double double rebounder every game. I am really looking forward to seeing her play she is a bonus to the number one class and is like having another top 15 player waiting in addition to those four.
Of course everything depends on her recovery another tough break for the Lady Vols as she would be in there this season if not for the injury.

Here's a documentary of the ASA team that Green played on last year.. there's also some footage of her playing.

A few of her former teammates were recruited and play for D1 schools this year.
- Diandra DaRosa G, started in a few games for Va. Tech this year.
- Shakila Small F/C, Oklahoma State

Green is a banger, judging from her videos, we need a few girls with a controlled nasty attitude. We seem to have lost that since Burdick and Harrison graduated. In addition, she seems to be a scorer. I agree with the poster who stated that they can see Green at the 5 and Russell at the 4. For her size Russell is much too soft. The big issue is will all these girls, coming next year, be coached up and will they be trained how to break the zone? Well here we go again, "Wait until next year, it will get better." To me next year is crap or get off the pot, period.

I'm sick of waiting for "next" year. We see where this thinking got us in football this season. Only one thing is certain around here when waiting for next year: Someone unexpected will miss the season with an injury. Someone will be unhappy with playing time. Our head coach will be soft on all complicated issues.

I know and wish we didn't have to but this year's team is just to limited to do much better than a twenty win season. The football team is a different story time to move in a different direction there. Next year if Holly can't do it then time to move in a new direction there as well.

Watching today's game shows either a lack of good coaching or overrated players or maybe a little of both. This team has a serious lack on enthusiasm and hustle.
