Great Moments in Cleveland History

I always thought that game would sting more than the Game 7. You give up one mistake and you can only get one hit?

Either that or the realization that came along the lines of "Congratulations, you're the one team the Atlanta Braves actually could beat in the World Series"

You have to give Cleveland credit. They do their part to keep the community safe

That's what usually happens when a team is built around power hitting and lacks star pitching. In '95 we really were just happy to be in the World Series, '97 stings worse because we expected to be there and were only 3 outs from winning it all...bah. The life of a Cleveland fan ain't for sissies. There is always next year...perpetually...none the less: Go Browns, Go Tribe, Go Cavs

@miamicane did you happen to watch college football live this afternoon? On this segment called "what if" they discussed the OSU-Miami BCS title game. In my opinion, it was a bs call: way late and questionable at best. Despite my Cleveland allegiances I am a Vol through and through. As an impartial observer, y'all won that game... As far as the King (aka "The Chosen One-Third") I'm not mad over him leaving the Cavs, he was a free agent, his choice, I can reconcile with that. What bugs me was the manner in which he did it: leaving the Cavs in the dark throughout the whole process and a one hour narcissistic ego stroking special, that was a bit much for my taste. Before today I never once thought twice about the Heat, but you are now officially the NY Yankees/Dallas Cowboys of the NBA. I wish you nothing but the worst. :D

Which is odd, when you consider that Atlanta's pitching staff during the 1990s was either the best or second-best in MLB history (oddly enough, the Milwaukee Braves of the 1950s were the other). And for as successful as both of those teams were over extended periods of time, each one only won one title.

they stold our ring in 2002...we stold their king in 2010...karma..

One has nothing to do with the other. Most of Cleveland doesn't care about Ohio State, and anyone outside of I-270 knows that it was a garbage call that gave Ohio State another shot at that game.

Plus, Miami had won the title the previous year.
