They really played their hearts out, especially the QB. They really could have, really SHOULD have won. Almost felt sorry for them - but not that much😁. With that said we are going to HAVE to improve execution, play calling, managing personnel (QBs) and game time decisions. We just barely escaped tonight and we have to stop keeping games close that we should win easily.

JG couldn't hit the side of stadium tonite. How many times did he overthrow open receivers. Be a new sheriff in town next year.

When you give up 14 unanswered points in the 4th quarter and lose.

Also a microcosm of UT for the last 15 or so years up until this year starting Game 3. D started to grow up that game.

Tom Allen the Indiana head football coach did a lousy job of coaching for the Hoosiers last night. He was outcoached by Jeremy Pruitt.

Unfortunately, the first 54 minutes were a microcosm of our team for last ten years. At least this year, this team wouldn't quit till the end and I'll take that as improvement.

Ya'll have a nice squad and just like IU appear to be pretty young. Proud of the way my team competed, thought we were going to get the doors blown off early, but man this one stings.

I also have to tip my hat to the IU team.

They played well and played hard.

I had about 87 heart attacks last night but we got the WIN so I'm a happy man today.

VFL...GBO!!!

I felt your pain for most of the game. I'll say this, IU put up more of a battle than Nebraska, Iowa and NW.

The IU qb has a lot of moxie and was the reason for you guys keeping it close outside of our stupid penalties and weak qb play

I really feel for you guys - we have just been too familiar with heartbreak too often to rub it in on your loss. Besides, no real hate toward IU. Reality though, is if JG wasnt snakebit as usual and we didnt have an unforced penalty every other play, this shouldnt have been so close. I do hope you guys keep at it though. Still think your program and coach are on an upward swing, certainly compared to where IU has been historically as a football program.

Noticed our defensive adjustment during the last couple IU offensive series to pull some guys off the line on the side where their QB had so much success earlier. Good coaching I thought.

Overall, though, this was an uncomfortable game to watch.

Agree. We were fortunate to be in it. Couple goal line stands early kept the momentum at bay or else it would have gotten ugly I'm afraid.

Program definitely on the upswing and even though Tennessee isn't the program it once was under Fulmer, beating a storied team like Tennessee on prime time television would have ranked right up there as one of the biggest wins in program history.

The game seemed to be almost Kentuckyesque in some ways.
