Great Article on Dobbs... a former professor's perspective

There is another great article on Dobbs in the Washington Post today. Sorry, I don't have the technological expertise to link it because of the paywall. Maybe someone else who knows more here could do it.

Saw another article last night...trying to go back so I can link...Dobbs has been in Minneapolis less than 2 weeks and found out there is a kid struggling with alopecia totalis who is a huge, huge Vikings fan.

Dobbs made it a point to go com0letely out of his way and get the kid a signed jersey...signed not just by Dobbs, but the entire offense including coaches!!!

Dude may never hoist a Lombardi or lead any of the record books at the end of his playing career, but he'll be remembered by a lot fans for a really long time...pure class.

Definitely class personified. A VFL that we should all embrace with pride. Everything that a student- then pro-athlete should be.

USCjr cost them the east. Hurd quit at halftime of that game.

Butch is still the only UT coach since the divisions were formed to beat both Georgia and Florida in the same season and not win the East.

They lost to Vandy because Butch was a snake oil salesman. Florduh won the east that year with 2 losses.

Yeah they lost the East after Scar game. However, had they just beaten Vandy after that they still wouldhave gone 9-3, had a Sugar Bowl bid probably and had the nicest season in a while at that point. Just such a giant chokejob it’s brutal to think about.

Was at that game...being in the stands in the middle of SC VIPs yelling "go cocks go" ALL game was painful. Didn't know in the stands what was going on with Hurd...we completely imploded.

Still could have won it if they had beaten Vandy.

“It’s a great story, but to be completely honest I’m not buying it. Anyone can grab a razor and shave their head and say they have alopecia. I even tried to get Will to do that at one point but he never really supported me. All I’m saying is I want to see proof of his alopecia before I start giving out congratulations.”

I always thought hers was drummed up to.be honest. I know there are different grades of alopecia, but there are times it seems she has more hair and more pronounced brows.than other times...just saying.
