Do ya'll think that we may have ask Gray to look around? With Shelton visiting next weekend, and Bonner committing today does that affect Gray? Bonner, Shelton and McNeil would give us a great db haul!

He won't be asked to look around, but heading into NSD, you never assume everyone remains on board. Bringing in four defensive backs won't set this class back at all. I'm expecting another defensive tackle, another linebacker, and an offensive lineman or two. It's gonna be a heckuva class!

Can't see the staff doing this, I mean what if Shelton doesn't commit or Bonner or McNeil decommits? Plus it would look way worse than the Henderson and Crawley deals. Is DB a position of need this year?

Only person I could see possibly being told to look around is Justin King. We could use more LB's, but he was one of earlier commits and if we told Henderson to look elsewhere then it wouldn't surprise if King is told to looks elsewhere too.

After watching the films I feel that Shelton is the better looking prospect. But, who really knows who the better player will be? I just don't see the staff turning a guy like Shelton down if he wants to come here, and it seems someone would have to be ask to look around if Shelton wanted to commit.

Compared to Gray? Gray has been playing all of two years. He's a burner and plays aggressive at CB. He has all the potential in the world. We need DBs in a bad way.

King won't be going anywhere. He's a prime fit for a pass rusher in a 3-4 defense. He's also one heck of an athlete, and at 6 foot 3 and 210 pounds the worst thing that happens is he becomes a WR for us in 3 years. He's a prime prospect to be red shirted. Allow him to grow to around 225 while keeping his speed and he could be a great weapon for us in 2-3 years at OLB. As for Gray, he's going no where as he's been reported to be a lock down man to man CB, and is super fast

I expect we will get another linebacker (Richie Brown is a good possibility), but I don't believe King will be asked to look around. He's raw, but the talent is there to be very good.

I'm not sold that Shelton is seriously giving much thought to Tennessee. That said, if someone had to say goodbye to their scholly, I would think it's Bullock. He could be asked to walk-on and even if he chooses not to join us, other kickers are available as walk-ons. JMO

Not giving much thought? Knoxville isn't exactly a paradise, and the kid is from Cali. OV or not, he's interested.

I'm going to be very disappointed if Bullock isn't a walk-on. I know how bad our ST are, but we are going to be shocked I think at just how well we can finish this class out. Opening up 1 more scholly is going to do nothing but help us IMO.

Oh I agree. I like King's upside, and I think he'll be a perfect LB for Sunseri's defense. Just a guess as to who would be told to look elsewhere if it comes down to that as we're getting closer and closer to NSD, and our spots are filling up fast. Although he wont be an immediate contributor due to lack of experience, I think Gray will grow into an excellent CB at Tennessee. He has top notch speed.

Interest and serious consideration aren't necessarily the same thing. I think he has interest, but at the same time I don't believe he wants to leave the West Coast. I wasn't meaning to insinuate that he was simply seeking a free vacation. Call it a gut feeling (and I've got plenty of gut), but I think he's a Pac 12 guy.

If I'm not mistaken Bullock is already enrolled for this current semester. That means he is probably already started using his scholarship or walked on and painfully his way. But I do believe he was on the list of the 7 early enrollees, that article is on Volnation.
