As hard as it may be to admit. The recruiting class is likely just falling apart behind the seasons to some degree. Maybe not the top guys and maybe not to a catastrophic level but stop with the wild conspiracy theories.
Not sure I would want to stock up on 5-6 GS recruits. You do know each one would then take away one from next years class right? If we end up being able to take around 20 for the 2015 class, take 6 away from that and it will be a very rough class.
We need help now. Also, next year we may not see such interest in recruits. Remember, this is a year full of legacy recruits.
What if there are only 5 upper echelon players who committ to us next recruiting cycle? Then you pass on a good player this season that is more talented than most of next years recruits.....
A sure fire committment top notch committment today is better than what the future might bring to you....
Paulk is injured so he would definately be a candidate for a gray shirt for next season while he recovers. Dews is underweight to play linebacker, so a gray shirt for him while he lives in the weight room would be good.

And Dews isn't going to be living in our weight room unless it's Gold's Gym because he can't as a gray shirt be in school's weight room.
We have more than 30 commits because A) we Are going to lose some of our current commits B) we are going to cut some loose. Its not a miracle loophole, and it isn't rocket science. We can only take so many. It would be assinine to take 35 or 40 guys in one class even if we could, especially when they aren't all blue chippers. Get real.

I don't think there is some major loophole these coaches found. In fact, I think it makes us look a little silly to say they have.
It's merely a combo of:
- us not knowing the intricacies of recruiting numbers and backcounting
- we will have a couple decommits
- we will potentially have a non-qualifier
