Expand out past Rutherford and it's even more impressive. Mike Minor from Chapel Hill possibly would have been the Opening Day starter for the Braves if healthy. Rex Brothers from Shelbyville and Bryan Morris from Tullahoma were both on the Opening Day rosters of the Rockies and Pirates. Southern Middle TN is becoming the cradle of pitchers.
