If I'm not mistaken the UTAD will be forced to return any contributions from him that the funds were gotten illegally. This will be going on for a long time and a huge black eye for all involved.

Now do you think this scam artist actually gave UT any money? The tone of the article indicated he had not.

It’s hard to say with any certainty. If I’m UT, I’m looking at any potential NIL deals he was involved in and his interactions with recruits and athletes. His proximity to the program and staff, as well as his connection to NIL should be enough for a thorough review.

Not saying he did anything in these areas, but what he is accused of here and the manner in which he did it, would cause most companies to look at everything he’s touched while in house.

Happens all the time. Young person opens first business/LLC, they will be looked into immediately after reporting 100k in profits.
Read the article. Dude has been conning people for years, taking payments for a company he doesn't work for anymore amongst other things.

Key wording: "TO PLEDGE"
No the key phrase from the comment on my post was there was NO indication in the article he had given any money.

If anyone thinks someone receiving so much money from UT coaches, assts, administrators and others wasn't making a significant contribution then I would respectfully disagree with that position.

Long shot:

Did anyone pay this guy for tickets to the AFLAC kickoff?

If so, please direct message me.

I don't ever remember seeing this guy play. I know he was just a walk on.

When I read some of these allegations, the question that immediately runs through my mind is, "How long did he think he was gonna get away with this?"

It's amazing what some people will risk, for a modest (and brief) windfall.
