Grade the 2012 class

Solid B. Adding Santos and Peters and another d-lineman (Kirven, Shanks) would have bumped it up to A-. But it's a solid class given our record last year and all of the coaching changes...

given the horrendous season and embarrassment at KY, followed by coaches leaving in droves, probably an A+.

Was an A- until Santos and Peters screwed us...

I'll give it a B-

But I don't blame the staff. A 5-7 team shouldn't even be in the top 25 unless your name is FSU, Texas, or Cal who can get recruits regardless.

Solid B+ almost an A. Only problem is that we are in the SEC where we have to have A's

A top ten class would've been an A considering we went 5-7. I'll say A-/B+

No doubt. BPV makes a good point, the recruiting is definitely better than expected given the abysmal season. But there is no question -- we HAVE to get LB's.

I'd say B to B+. BPV brought up a good point. We lost emabarrassingly to UK. I'm over it, but on top of that, we had six assistant coaches leave. Holding together the class that we did is an amazing effort. We held onto O'Brien and McNeil. That was also big for this class. Pulling CP was also big.

However, we lost Santos and Peters. That is huge, and just bad. We're not deep at LB, and they would have been big to have in the new 3-4. Moreover, hindsight is 20/20, but now that we have the spots open, it does suck that we couldn't pull one quality OL. That also hurts the grade.

B cause were all vol fans.....so am i.

thinking outside the box, its a C. We need LB's in a serious way and maybe we'll have a break out this year. Or TB will have to throw for 4k as well be behind in every game.

A solid B. Considering all the turnover with staff and the horrible seasons and junk........it is an A.............with all the crap the last few years this is a great class..........could've been better with just peters but time will be the ultimate judge

We do need LB's next year. However, this class really needed secondary and DL help and this class addressed that extremely well.
