With Eric Berry and D-Moe guarding the middle with tons of speed and smash mouth head shots.... what a boost to add these recruits we have scooped up in '09.

There is unlimited potential adding another head hunter in S Darren Myles.... then what a pickup today in getting a guy who you can put on an island in Janzen Jackson. Also add to that what looks like another big talent in home bread Eric Gordon. If he has half the hands his (brother/cousin??) Jamont who was a hoops star at MSU he is another great guy to get out an island as well.

Oh and another huge help is Slade and Chavis won't have the safeties 30 yards off and the corners 10 yards off on third and middle or long and their first steps are backwards.... that's something I highly doubt Monte will ever put into play...

Just saying... it could become a huge strength for next years team under Monte's scheme...

If they all pan out then yes i agree but you never know.
Defense wins Championship and obviously we are following that line so like i said if they all work out then we are set a that position for a little while at least.

On a side note. Does the T2 use a lot of LB and DBs?

We could, if we wanted, have an all-5-star lineup with Jackson, Berry, Morley and Vinson. Rogan or maybe Marsalous Johnson will probably keep that from happening though.

Wasn't Vinson released?

The Middle Linebacker whom ever it ends up being will need to be speedy. Tampa 2 the Middle Backer covers deep middle, kinda like a safety in cover 3

Did you guys watch Teague and Jackson run? I think its safe to say we are gonna have some exciting punt returns in the near future.

This secondary will be great year in and year out. Starters this year:

Berry-SS

Morley-FS

Rogan-CB

Brent Vinson-CB

Reserves:

Janzen Jackson

Darren Myles

Prentiss Waggner

Eric Gordon

Nyshier Oliver

Mike Edwards

Simply put we'll have the best secondary in the land. With good coaching from this staff I think all of our starters will get drafted.

If D-Mo gets serious, then I certainly agree with you.

I just watched som of Nuke's videos and hes gonna be awesome to have but are you sure you've seen a video of Teague?

Yeah I've watched him. He and Richardson will both return kicks. But having a little water bug like Richardson returning punts makes things hard on a coverage unit.

Not too beat a dead horse into the ground. The most exciting thing I see is that CLS will not be coaching this group of DBs.

This secondary will undoubtedly be dominating next season. The defensive line, however, might be a liability.

Haha, yup.

What's your take, LD1? Jackson a CB or a S? If S, SS or FS with Myles taking the other I'd assume.

He's a strong safety but in the mold of Berry. He can do it all. When he puts on some weight he'll be just as good as Berry. May not make as many magnificent plays but he'll definitely challenge Berry.
