Gordon To Race 5 or 6 More Years

I'll be the first to admit, I couldn't stand Gordon when he first started. The 13 win season had me seething. It seems over the years, I've come to respect and appreciate what he's done on and off the track.

He's been talking about the troubles with his back for awhile. It seems that around last August a report came out that he would most likely step down within 2-3 years and he didn't refute it when asked.

his back is a lot better from what he said and has been working out to improve his endurance.

you are correct. i've seen several interviews where he has said it's not an issue for him like it was last year.

I saw an interview where he said he couldn't race ONE more year with his back like it was last year. But I don't think he had back surgery. Maybe chiropractor??

It's not like Jeff Gordon can't afford the best doctors to help him feel better. If he did specific exercises to strengthen his back then he probably does feel better now.
