Congrats to the 14 team for winning in Atlanta last night. Who doesn't like Tony Stewart?? :dunno:

The 14 and 99 are heating up at the right time. Should be a good chase this year.

The best thing is the Chase doesn't appear to be a Jimmie Johnson benefit this year. I believe I heard them say last night that the top 10 are locked in.

I don't. Stewart is one of the biggest jerks ever in Nascar.

I always like to see a new driver win a race that hasn't won that current season. And good to see that Jimmie may not walk away with the title unchallenged this year. Should be a much better and competitive Chase this year.

I was partying late into the night Sun night. First Cup race I've been to that Tony Won. I've seen him finish 2nd 3 times and win in the Nationwide series. I hope he carries the momentum into the chase.

Although I am a 24 fan all day long, it was nice to see Tony Stewart win instead of one of the drivers that really are just riding on the back of the drivers that helped build Nascar into an empire. Although as the great drivers disappear popularity and attendance seems to be disappearing as well.

did you think before you typed this or do you just like to get in the NASCAR forum and bang on the keyboard?

these "great drivers" from the past that you speak of also rode on the backs of the drivers before them. lack of talent isn't the issue in NASCAR.

Overall I would say the talent level is as high as it ever was, just my opinion, IMO. Now a lack of personality is another area that has validity. IMO.

IMO, i have to say i agree with the personality thing. i think, IMO, NASCAR likes to make sure their drivers toe the company line. IMO, the drivers ultimately know whose hand feeds them.

Part of me wants to see the old Tony come out again. I understand that with him being an owner he has to watch what he does a little closer but he hasn't thrown any rocks at Nascar or any drivers here lately. That was what made him my favorite driver when he came into the sport. If a microphone was put in front of him, right or wrong, he said what he thought. You didn't have to try and read between the lines.
