Good SEC Road Trips?

So because I live in New england and big time college football is non existant, I need suggestions for good SEC road trips.

My friends and I are in our late 20s early 30s and this will be the 3rd yr of our trip (should started sooner). The 1st year we went to LSU (Fantastic) and then last year Tennessee (Even Better). Im sure many of you have been to most SEC schools and have ideas or suggestions. Keep in mind our age and we are looking for a great "weekend". Bars on Friday and the entire Saturday gameday experience.

The thing I loved about knoxville was how centralized everything was and how downtown was not just college bars. I was able to go out and not feel like an old creep lurking at coeds (although the sights were fantastic).

We may be leaning towards Gainesville but i cant wait to hear for you. Thanks in advance.

The product on the field isn't that great, but Ole Miss has been my favorite road trip that I have made to date. Campus is gorgeous, the ladies are outstanding to look at, and the hospitality is second to none.

Of the ones I have been to, I would rate them:

Ole Miss
Georgia
Florida
Alabama
Mississippi St.
Vanderbilt

**I haven't been to a game at Auburn, but I have went there for a weekend. The city is very small, and everything is centrally located. It is a neat little place.

I've only been to a few but I would definitely rank UT high on the list. USCjr was pretty cool. Imo vandy wasnt so good. Everyone was cussing at us and a few even followed us after the game and continued to heckle us. Alabama was decent imo but not great. Stadium is amazing but people are ridiculous.

Ole Miss is def on high on my to do list but the town itself seems like it wouldnt be great at night. We would stay in Memphis, Im sure, so that would be fine. Biggest problem with Ole Miss for me would be that the game would be a let down. It was great to hear rocky top and be in the middle of the Neyland excitement. Im not sure what the Ole Miss stadium brings to the table.

Im interested in most SEC schools and now Texas A&M. We are leaning towards Florida but Auburn and Georgia among others intrigue me.

The Grove on gameday is one of the coolest sights ever.. Highly recommend Oxford. Also, stay in Tunica, MS so you can gamble and go out there, also makes for a shorter commute to Oxford

I'm knocking out every SEC school, but I am very excited to go to Athens for the first time this year

Been to Athens twice. 2004 and 2006. I don't know if any other trip could top it. Of course it helps that UT pulled off the upset both times.

We went to the LSU @ Tenn game this year. I know it wasnt much of a game but still exciting. The year before we happened to go to the infamous Tenn @ LSU game.

Im intrigued by Athens. Anyone have thoughts on Gainesville? Im leaning towards going there. Not sure If we should do a night in Jacksonville or Orlando (airports) or should we just do two nights in Gainesville? Im hoping theres a bit more to it than just a college town but Im not too sure. Im sure there will be a friday night buzz with a saturday home game.

I've been to College Station before for a game. The heat is awful but other than that, it's one of the best atmospheres for a sporting event I've ever been to

Best is Tennessee which is not only a bias but an observation and a judgement.

The grove at Ole Miss is great. Baton Rouge is a great time if at least for the proximity to New Orleans. However I would say the gameday experience at LSU is generic and lacking. Fayetteville is a nice town and the people are friendly. Gainesville is awful and I will never go again. The only other major schools I've not been to are Tuscaloosa and Auburn--have seen Alabama play at Legion field several times but obviously not in years since they haven't played Tennessee there since *I think* 1997.

A few other notes: Nashville is the best city or town in the SEC and may be the best overall city in all of the south. The problem is you have to go watch Vandy in their DII stadium so it's hardly an SEC experience--Nashville though is a winner and you will really enjoy it.

I personally like the SECCG in Atlanta because you get the bowl atmosphere and SEC football. I have been 6 times (5 times for UT and once when SC played Auburn). They have all been great times and a good guys trip if that's what you are looking for.

Ole Miss is worth the trip. Stay in Memphis and drive down Saturday for the game.
