I'd like to stay in the French Quarter for a few days before the game. Anyone have any good experiences?

Making plans for a Vols trip to the Sugar Bowl? I hope you get to see them there.....but you might want to wait until Saturday to make those reservations :)

You might want to book now, if you can find anything for New Years at all at this point. Anyway, my recommendations would be the Royal Sonesta or the Monteleone if you are looking for higher end hotels. The Hilton and the Marriott have hotels on Canal St. right by the Quarter, and there are a number of hotels in the warehouse district which is a stone's throw from the Quarter.

yeah it would probably be difficult for you to get reservations for new years. Also many of the hotels might still charge you a cancelation fee. I would hold off unless you want to go regardless of if we win or not.
