Good Game Pitt

He’s not wrong. It should’ve been a blowout after we knocked Slovis out. We couldn’t get out of our own way.
At what point was a “blowout” in the conversation? Their second string WB has more experience than the starter so you automatically assume Slovis is out and the game is over? Flip the script.. hooker goes out. Are we toast with Milton?

You weren’t watching the same game I was. Their backup was not good. At all.

Was their starter very good?

58%

Lots of his yards on a blown coverage and a whiff.

OP was giving much deserved props and you still can’t take the orange glasses off. Grow up.
It should have been a blowout. They deserve props for playing that well while having their backup qb with practically 1 leg in the game. But it’s not a douchebag thing to realize we should have scored more than 3 points in the second half. Chill out

Please tell me at what point a blowout was on the table? We were on the road against a higher ranked team and the OP (and subsequent post) were giving Pitt well deserved props.
Then post is hijacked by- we should have blown them out.
Bt your account- we “should” have scored more in the 1st. “Should” have scored more before the half…come on.
Big win. Good opponent. Stop a time like we should have waxed their ass.

I actually think Milton had the look of a guy waiting to show what he could do. I think Milton is a better QB after two off seasons with Heupel. Hopefully we do not need to find out this season but I do believe 23 we are capable.

Calm down Karen. We almost gave that game away. It’s not orange colored glasses, it’s a fact.

Game should've been over early in the second half. We almost snached defeat out of the arms of victory in that one. That football team got lucky yesterday. If they play with mistakes like that when we get to the SEC portion of the schedule, it will be a long season.

Agreed. They have one tough, strong team. Pretty much made us play the game they wanted to play. Good luck rest of season.

Without question!

To the Pitt fans who lurked in here this past week. I will be pulling for your Panthers the rest of the way! I respect your program immensely. You have a tough, hard-nosed football team and your backup QB played with a lot of guts! Good luck the rest of the way!

More experience doesn’t equal “just as good”.
Why flip the script? Hooker did not go out. Focus on the game that happened, little feller. Dropped TD passes and overthrows cost UT a blowout, it’s ok to “what if”. The reality is that it was no blowout merely a hard fought win.
Did Pitt fight like a reigning conference champion? Heck yeah, but they better shore up that O line if they are going to do it again.

Great Game Pitt, go win that ACC again!

We won. Enjoy it. This isn't 98. We haven't won these games in a long time. We are not going to win the natty this year. We shooting for 10 wins so we can recruit better. Unlike what some of you think, winning and not spyre is what will help with getting kids interested in us.

Pitt is a good team without question. They play physical on both sides, and their defense is better than last year in some aspects. They will be tough to beat in the ACC.
That said, I believe much of our woes on offense were self inflicted. Hooker was not accurate on several passes, and there were some non typical drops. We couldn’t run the ball effectively. Special teams for both teams was special.
Fortunate to come away with a win. Pitt gave us a great game.
