Going to TN game solo (woman)?

So I have never went to a TN game before alone. I would love to go to tomorrows game, however, my husband, and a few friends/sister, no one else can go. I hate missing out on things just because others's cannot go. Do you all see any reason it would be bad or not as fun going alone? I am a 40yo female and lifelong vols fan, so just wondering thoughts on this. Thanks in advance!
I say if you want to go,, then go ahead.

If you are a Tennessee fan you will have a great time.

we park downtown and walk to and from game. Never felt unsafe even walking back in dark as you will be around 10k other people.

We make friends all the time. People are friendly usually even vistors I have struck up conversations with.

Only one time there was this arrogant Alabama fan, it was the year 2022. He came in all arrogant and was running his mouth all game about not being worried. The more he ran his mouth, the louder me and the very Christian older season ticket holders around me got….He did have to tuck his tail and walk out in shame After game.

But with that said we always welcome those around us.

You might regret not going like all those that didn’t go to Bama 2022.

My family is eating lunch downtown about noon tomorrow and then will start walking toward the stadium After. We would be glad to met you to walk but at that time you would miss out on a lot of the pregame you really need to experience.

Go, don’t let fuddie Duddie keep you home

Thanks for the help so far guys! It has been about 4 years since we have been to a game but always with my husband or friends. I am just one of these people that feels insecure about going to places alone I guess haha.

If you don’t mind hanging out with a 22 year old who will get trashed you can be the plus one to my tailgate!!! I was born grew up a vols fan as well. (Edit: Absolutely trashed is a mild exaggeration, drinking will absolutely be happening though) 😂

Do it, enjoy your own company, plus 100k extra friends you'll encounter. I've had to start fishing alone, wife's health, kids growing up, friends at work, but I've come to enjoy it. You only live once, live.

I go to the games solo many times throughout the season. My wife has MS so the crowd noise, triggers the headaches and other symptoms.

At first I felt weird but I sell my other ticket. And many times, that buyer sits elsewhere so I have more room - 😆.

The folks in my section are cool and we talk throughout the game. It’s a great opportunity to yell and scream in unison w/ others.

I drive to and from the game on Saturday but it’s better than spending the $$ on a hotel.

Be safe, have fun, and GO VOLS!!

Go to the game! If you can sing on key, belt out the National Anthem. Likely, you’ll get offers to join a choir. Overwhelmingly, Vols fans are a friendly lot, and as you’ve read here, plenty will be willing to walk with you from and to your vehicle and welcome you into their tailgate.

Ummm…well…probably not a good idea to alone…just my gut reaction to your question.

You will be safe and among family. No worries, you'll have a blast! Plus, you can leave as soon as you like "If/when" the field is rushed haha. You know, avoid some traffic.

It's kind of interesting--even fun--to just see what you're like when you're not subconsciously in your wife/sis/friend mode. It's a good reminder of who you've become and who you've always been. Can be very affirming.
(And you may even bring back some of your old self who's been missed... 👩‍❤️‍👨)

You can go to any tailgate and feel welcomed as long as you are wearing orange and not acting like a crazy person. Go and live it up. Worst thing that can happen is we lose. Other than that you will have a great time regardless.

Janda,Go to the game.If us vol fans cannot act politely and courteous to you and your enjoyment of the afternoon, then us Tennesseans are no better than No mannered northern schools. You will be just fine.

If you are a life long Vols fan no problem, just sit in a Vol section and the moment you sit down you will get goosebumps being among the loudest and best fans in America.
Curious that you have been on this site 17 years and so few posts.

Been to a ton of games alone, once you get seated it doesn’t really matter. Hopefully it’s much too loud to be having any conversations tomorrow.
