So I have never went to a TN game before alone. I would love to go to tomorrows game, however, my husband, and a few friends/sister, no one else can go. I hate missing out on things just because others's cannot go. Do you all see any reason it would be bad or not as fun going alone? I am a 40yo female and lifelong vols fan, so just wondering thoughts on this. Thanks in advance!

I've been to multiple games, events, travelled etc alone. Some of the best times get started that way!

It’s weird bc I used to have a thing about going to the theatre alone to see a movie. Now I find it easier to do stuff like that solo. I would go to the game if I wanted to. Long as it doesn’t place your family in some financial burden or something like that.

Idk about the fun factor bc some just go to the game, some go to activities after but if you want to go I would go. JMHO

I go alone quite often and I get to know people hanging around near circle park waiting on the vol walk. Just strike up a conversation, I’ve never encountered people out right refusing to engage in conversation. I’ve gotten invited to go back to tailgates, etc and also made contacts to purchase tickets should they not be able to attend any future games. Also I park at the State St garage and walk and along that path you’ll encounter other fans walking and other tailgaters that sometimes invite you over.

Honestly, I think as long as you stay with a group of people you will be perfectly fine. Vol Walk is a must as is the Vol Shop for gear, if you don't have any more need more (who doesn't need more). Every game i've take my daughter to has been awesome. The people are so nice and we have a great time, especially in our seats.

Never too many hats, always could use more.

If you go with the intention of having a great time and making some cool friends for the day I guarantee you will have a blast. 100,000+ UT fans around you, you’re bound to meet some cool ones.

Girls walk around campus alone all the time at every college so surely to goodness safety not an issue. I'm trying to figure out how to go gamble a few days myself my wife hates it but I enjoy it not really fair imo.

Is your concern safety or what the experience is going by yourself

I think you'd be absolutely fine going alone. But whether you'd enjoy yourself, hmm, that depends on your personality and preferences.

If you think you'd have more fun with someone else, try getting in touch with @kal in these forums; she's also looking for someone to go to the game with.

Go Vols!

See the post from Kal on Wednesday. She is a female student looking for a + one to the game. Maybe you can meet up with her.
