Channing Crowder told me to mention his name and I should be fine at The Swamp.

I went to the Swamp one time in '99. Ugh. I still hate Alex Brown.

Prepare yourself to take some verbal abuse.

cost depends heavily upon how you get there, where you stay, who you know for tix, how many hookers, how much blow, etc.

The swamp isn't that bad. I went year before last when we got pulverized by about 30+ and it wasn't that bad. Just don't start nothin , wont be nothin. Ticket at face will run around 55ish that is if you can buy them from either university. On the street scalping you could probably find them for 10-30 dollars more depending on the kind of seats you want.

no offense bro...but kiffin's mouth just made 10-30 dollar tickets extinct. It will probably be a lot more expensive this year. that is the price of publicity!

Tickets are pretty easy to get a few hours before the game, but wear a UF shirt (if possible) when looking, because they don't like to sell to UT fans. They have some decent clubs and restaurants downtown G'ville, and some cheap beer places, pizza, etc. on the strip right across from the campus. Parking is easy---unlike UT, you can park almost anywhere on campus, but you have to get there pretty early to find a good spot. We always park up near the administration building (tigert? hall)---most of their fans are pretty good to deal with at the tailgate, etc. Start calling around now for hotels--look for cancellations. We stay at the Country Inn & Suites on I-75, but there are lots of hotels.

Another way to get tickets is to get up with your area UT alumni chapter, if there is one. Sometimes they will go as a group to these games and get tickets at face value.

I'm either going with the Pride of the Southland, or I'm going with students. If I go with other students, we'll probably all crash at my mom's house for the weekend then drive down to the game.

As far as it not being that bad, I'd get out of town quick if we win. I went for bball last year and was not taken pleasantly after we won. Football I can imagine is 10x what I got for that.
