Can anyone that has been to practice tell me what it is like and what I can expect.

Can I take a camera?

Any chance of meeting coaches?

I am going to the morning session.

Don't expect to take your camera in. Practices, in contrast to scrimmages, are much more business-like. Especially the morning session of two-a-days. Expect the team to come out, practice non-stop, and march promptly off the field. I don't think they usually do meet and greets during morning session either. Either than that, it is still fun to watch.

Hey will you look at how the DE's are looking, specifically Williams & Martin. GVX said that Williams was working with the first team today.

It's funny, because this time a couple of yrs. ago CPF was calling Ben Martin the next AA at UT. Now he's not even a starter.

I am going to the morning session.

I went to one last week and don't expect to be able to bring a camera. They have a huge sign at the gate saying, "No cameras, except for the press."

So, have you heard that the practice is open? I tried to go again today, but it was closed because they practiced inside. I don't know if they'll practice outside or inside tomorrow.

Williams is tearing it up right now. He is starting to finally blossom and to live up to his talent level. I remember last year being very excited about finally getting clearinghouse approval for him, but disappointed in his performance. He was unblockable according to ole Eddie O.

Now this is from my Super Secret Sam & Andy's Source who said, "Expect some football to be practiced."

My son and I went today from about 4:00 till end of practice - just walked in and tried to stay out of the way and didn't encounter any problem. There were a 6-8 other folks there who weren't press, just watching like us. Great view and proximity to players and staff.

The things that struck were the physicality and intensity - espcially for a helmet and shoulder pad day.

Where did you enter the facility?

Parked across the street from Stokley and walked down the "driveway" between the Haslam Field and the indoor practice field. We first walked into Haslam through the entrance the players use but there were just a few guys out there so we went across to the indoor facility. Again, we just tried to stay out of the way but we were right there - almost got run over by G Jones as he was tackled (it was physical) on the sideline. Stood right behind McCoy and heard him say he was fine and would be there next week. Also heard him get on Myles for not being with the rest of the D - Myles said he was just trying to get a better view to watch and see what he was supposed to when he got in. He did join the crowd very shortly thereafter though.

Man, I wish the UF practices were open this year. The info coming out is so limited.

You can walk around the practice facility really slowly, but eventually they notice you and send you away. And you can't see much from that far away...

sigh... how many days left?
