Depends which Lou Holtz he coached against. Saban hasn't had a decline like Holtz, Fulmer, Bowden, or anyone else has.
Personally, I don't think a defensive coach will beat Saban either. All of Saban's big losses were to offensive guys.
"Hasn't had" sounds positively indefinite. Maybe he retires before he gets "anyone else'd"?
Dabo was a position coach, so it was the offensive system put in by Chad Morris his former OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR that bested him. :hi:...kinda how Pruitt is setting up his program. And who would be the best guy to work with said offensive coordinator on ways to attack the Bama defense than one of Saban's better defensive coordinators? And Saban escaped (barely) the FIRST former DC turned HC he's faced...:question:
