I feel it fitting that this is my first post on VN after almost a year - all the way from Japan.

I wish Coach Phil Fulmer the very best in the coming years - thanks for all the good memories.

God Bless you and your family....

Thanks for leaving this program with something to build on.

Plenty of positives to take from these last two weeks. Pride was somewhat restored and that old hunger reappeared. The new coaches will benefit greatly from the work that was done.

Fulmer could've pulled a Majors and spent this past month sulking. To his credit, he kept working.

Now on to the future.

I wish Kiffin all the luck in the world.

I think in the wins and losses column this move had to be made.

But part of me thinks from a right thing to do stand point, this is a sad day in UT Athletics.

Coach Fulmer set a standard that is rarely seen in College Football these days.

HE IS ALL TENNESSEE! He loves this university, the athletic program, and this state. The next guy, it will not be the same. We lost a Volunteer today!

Tremendous showing of class by the coach on what has to be one of the most difficult days of his life. Thanks for bringing a national title to Tennessee while my grandad was still alive and thanks for carrying yourself like a true Volunteer should.

What a great way to go out on a positive note. I am proud of Coach Fulmer and also of UT and the student athletes! Go Vols.

WE are thankful for you, Coach Fulmer. Thank God that you have been our coach. We will miss you greatly in the years ahead. Please stay in the Vol organization. You are a Vol and bleed orange. Don't go anywhere else to coach.

Amen to that. This is probably one of the most emotional evenings I have had in a long time. What's done is done, but I cannot imagine him being anywhere else. He himself said he'll always be a Vol. And we'll never have another coach who loves the University like Coach Fulmer does. I hope he stays in some capacity....that will make this much easier to handle.:cray:
