We have a team that can win the national championship. But anything can happen in the tournament.

My first goal is win the SEC.
Second is win the SEC tournament, this one is most important to me. The lowest we should finish in the SEC standings is 2nd so we'll have a really easy path.
Third is make the Final Four.
Fourth is win a National Champion.

Post play is the only thing I see stopping us from reaching all these goals. I believe we can overcome it though.

I truly think the sky is the limit with this team. I see us, Gonzaga and Baylor being on a whole different level than the rest of the country.

I fully expect us to run away with the SEC season title, and barring a few injuries or some bad match-up like Auburn has been for us the last two years, win the SEC tournament. I think we are a 1 seed and anything short of the elite 8 will be a disappointment.

I know it is still early in the season, and while I think we are an elite team, I also think the path to success is easier this year than its ever been. UK looks to be down. Auburn looks to be average. Not sure who will really compete with us in conference play. Don't see us leaving the top 10 all season long if things go according to plan.

So to shorten everything up. Elite 8 is the expectation, Final 4 is great, and we should be in the national championship talk all year long.

Well, we haven't played the first SEC team yet. I think Missouri is a tough first game, because they are a veteran defensive team, or so I've heard. After we win the first 3 or 4 games, I will feel better about our chances of winning the SEC. Freshmen will have their bumps in the road. Hopefully, they are ready for the challenge.

Make a deep run in the tourney is all we can ask for. Anything more is icing on the cake. I am very excited about this team!

Any team with tall and physical bigs that has a good night shooting the 3 will give us trouble.

I think we need to pump the brakes a little... we have played no competition at all. We will have a way better idea of how we look once we get a few games into the SEC schedule. We haven’t gone up against elite athletes yet.

Reasonable expectations are a SEC regular season championship and a run to the elite 8.

Pie in the sky expectations are the first SEC tournament championship in 41 years and the first ever final four appearance.

Yeah, the title of this thread should be delusional fans. We haven't even played a top 25 team yet. Maybe we are great and maybe we are just pretty good. Time will tell.

This team isn't good enough offensively, right now, for a FF run. Our lack of a post presence will still be our Achilles Heel. Watch what Mizzou does to us in the post and we'll have a much better idea moving forward.

Yeah, we've seen that in the past. We tend to get into foul trouble against teams like that. Those games will definitely challenge our depth.

I do not think it is delusional at all to have hope for a great season. This team has amazing potential. I have just learned that every night in the SEC is a challenge all its own. I hope the players have learned to take it one game at a time, or they will be on the losing end quite a few times this season.

Coach Barnes is wise not to put too much pressure on the talented freshmen.

That said, I certainly expect them to accomplish great things this season. I don't think any accomplishment is beyond their reach.

We didn’t look focused tonight... composure wasn’t there. The level of play we had tonight gets us beat by 10 points vs Auburn/Mizzou/Kentucky

It's alright to dream big but when someone says, and I quote, "I fully expect to run away with the SEC this season". That is absolute delusion. There is plenty to indicate that we have an excellent opportunity to win the SEC this year but nothing to back up us running away with it.
