O yea baby! When I went to get a new TV to replace my old broken one I got a 1080p sony Bravia that cost 500 more than the one I already had. I got a deal that included a PS3 1 movie and 1 game free. SO for 500 more I upgraded tv and a PS3 with a free Blueray movie (Tall. nights) PS3 game (NBA 08) for 500 more. Fine vol is a very happy boy.:dance2:

Taking my son's out of the closet for his birthday next week. Can't wait to hook it up and watch some BluRays also.

Fine,

Is PS3 really all that much diffrent than PS2 as far as gaming? I could care less about the blueray whatever ....I dont have enough time to figure all that out. Im not very tech oriented when it comes to the new gadgets.

Graphically it is way ahead of PS2 but that does not make the games any more fun.
It is more about finding games you like. If you get a 360 or PS3 it really makes a big dif. if you have a hi def tv to take advantage of all of the graphical power of the new consoles.

If you don't have an HDTV, BluRay means nothing to you really.

Is a PS3 different than a PS2? Sure. Same type of games, but that's like asking if a PS3 is different than the Sega Genesis. Both play games, but only one of them is the main focus of game developers nowdays with hundreds of titles to come.

well then that answers my question. I'm going to stick with the good ole PS2. My wife wants me to buy a Wii. That'll be my next purchase I guess. I'm just waiting on the price to go down. Thanks for the info.

Wii great if you want the same mini-games with different graphics released over and over and over and over......

Not saying it wont get better (there's some big titles coming), but the first year of software has been pretty lackluster and full of stupid mini-game collection after mini-game collection.
