Not sure how we don't have a thread on this yet. I thought it was worth posting because of the big story reveal in the newest trailer... Lucius was Maximus' son all along. Definitely didn't see that coming.

Good think Maximus died in the first movie cause there’s no way to legitimately cast Crow as a soldier in light of his crazy weight gain.

Saw this tonight, I thought it was excellent.

A few plot points they didn't flesh out well enough, but other than that, really good.

It occurs to me, after two decades of 'Rome', 2 Gladiators, and subsequent spin offs.

Why would anyone want to be a General in the Legion? Being a general in the Roman Army must have had one of the highest work place danger rates in all Ancientdom. Either enter the history books in tragic terms, or go into slavery.

Additionally, it is interesting to see how British English accents changed to American English in Ancient Rome, in 15 years.
