I would have LOVED to have had that kind of āluckā over the last decade. Beating Bama six in a row would have resulted in a UT Coach getting a statue and a street named after him.Tubberville getting credit for taking advantage of the worst period for Alabama football in 40 years is akin to giving James Franklin credit for beating Tennessee when he was at Vanderbilt. They didnāt succeed, they just took advantage of gross incompetence on the parts of better programs.
Tuberville's Auburn teams were awesome. Tough defense, great running games. Very good balanced teams. Fun to watch and would kick your ass.Tubberville getting credit for taking advantage of the worst period for Alabama football in 40 years is akin to giving James Franklin credit for beating Tennessee when he was at Vanderbilt. he's s step up from anything in tn politically. with the exception of randy boyd.Ugh. I'm definitely on the left end of the political spectrum so not likely to advocate him anyway, but I wouldn't vote for Dooley if he were the combined reincarnation of FDR, MLK, Ghandi, and John Lennon simply based on the fact he tried to have Eric Berry's car towed from the practice center.
This is a much better fit for him than being a college head coach. Heās a super smart guy and bad with people, so this may work. He couldāve had a career in politics long ago had he not gone into coaching. Always seemed more cut out for that stuff.
He's a horrible human being who was hated by every person that worked in the football complex when he was here. I've never seen someone so universally hated by every person that interacted with him.I'm not sure how you can say he's bad with people. Dooley is a good, honest man. He's the type of person we should want in politics.
A person who has chased their dreams in the private sector then later in life decided to be a public servant, but not be married to it. Some of these career, unaccomplished, politicians are just gross.

You act like he made some noble late-career shift to the business world. He "chased his dreams in the private sector" for a year and a half after failing to find a coaching job when his two-year analyst contract was up at Alabama. Politicians are absolutely gross. So is he.
You can be bad with people and good at politics. Most of them are. I can say heās bad with people because I have experience and many people who were around him have stories. Im not saying heās a bad guy, but that heās bad with people.Im not aware of him being known as a charming and personable fellow, but it seems youāve had a different experience. Thatās great.I'm not sure how you can say he's bad with people. Dooley is a good, honest man. He's the type of person we should want in politics.

Isn't that exactly how we wound up with Pruitt?
