Guys I promise we do not pay attention to what people say about the coaches on here.. I know how Gerald feels about them and thats really all that matters to me.. And since I am a coach i'll just say ease up a little on the coaches. I understand that we are put in a position to be criticized but this is a very complicated job and even more so on the college level. We spend countless hours game planning and trying to come up with a plan. There is not one coach out there that is a perfect play caller.. Trust me its very very hard, and its easy for fans to say we should have called somthin else after the play is over. But I forgot some of you probably never do anything wrong in your line of work.. And Byt the way Gerald said the hamstring is feeling great and he was supposed to be running full speed yesterday, so when I talk to him I will let you guys know how he is feeling.. And unless some of you guys have a better source than me then stop saying that he is red-shirting...

We've already given up as many returning yards as we did in 2006. I think this new kickoff rule (or just our poor coverage) is really hurting our already weak defense by allowing teams to start at the 40 or 50 every time.

good post, and i don't think anyone here would necessarily disagree with you.

as fans, most of whom have been fans for a long, long time now, i think the most frustrating part about our current situation isn't the play calling or game day stuff, rather, the seemingly inability or refusal to acknowledge that things need to be changed up. the stubborness it seems to continue with the "we do what we do" mentality.

i think we're all just tired of seeing and hearing the same old stuff, and then seeing some of the results that accompany it.

to do the same things over and over again, expecting different results is the oldest form of insanity. and in our case it applies to our overall philosophy and attitude toward the game itself/stratetgy/personnel/player development today.

and most, not all, still very much like and respect CPF as a man, for his work off the field with the Jason Foundation etc..., and are very gracious for what he has accomplished here as both a player and coach.

Good post and glad to hear that about Gerald. I'm in agreement with Jake, the large majority of the fans appreciate and respect Fulmer and crew, it's just the fact he says the same things every year and gets everyone excited, only to see the same results every year.
