I think we broke Ole Miss baseball. Bring Lane in to throw the first pitch, ranked number 1 at the time. media spectacle. We thump them so bad they may not even make the SEC tournament.
Perhaps, but this has been their M.O. for years. I had a co-worker several years ago who is an Ole Miss alum and baseball fan and he'd always say "If they gave out national titles for February and March performance, we'd win it every year." He said that even in the years they made it to a Super Regional or CWS, they were playing their best baseball in March and never had any faith they'd make postseason noise.
Bianco, as good as he's been at Ole Miss, has only made one CWS in 20 seasons. Postseason college baseball is certainly a coin flip-type of contest, but you'd figure he'd make it to the final 8 more often than that. If you look at SEC coaches with similar tenure, Van Horn has made it 6 times in 18 years at Arky and Corbin has made it 5 times in 18 years at Vandy. O'Sullivan has been 7 times in 13 years at UF, which is incredible. Hell, Tony V has as many CWS appearances as Bianco.
