Give A Man Some Info

Didn't get to see the game.

To make a long story short a bar in my town told me Thursday that they had "ESPN Gameplan". Got to the bar around 6:30, ordered some Crown and Cokes and found out that the idiots that told me they had said Gameplan, thought I meant the NFL Sunday Ticket package. Don't worry, they felt so bad they gave me one of my C&C's on the house. So, I saved 6 bucks. That was a facetious comment by the way.

I know it was Arkansas State, but give me a realistic view of what went down.

Offense?
Defense?
Improvements?
Degressions?
Phil's demeanor?
Young One's play? More specifically Chris Donald?

So you want us to do the work that you could accomplish by reading what is already posted in here tonight? :eek:hmy: Just kidding of course but I'm too tired to rewrite the notes from what is on the board already,

Yeah, Yeah, I'm lazy. I just wanted a little more specific examples I guess. I've been sifting through and it looks like the defense was unimpressive. Someone called Hefeny "worthless" in tonights game, so that isn't good from the "defensive leader". I remember before the season started I stated that I thought Hefeny was going to lead the team by example, guess my predictions were WAY off.

One specific question I have is, did we have a pass that went in the air past 15 yards?

I just listened on the radio but there were more "down the field" throws tonight than have been attempted since the pinky incident.

Offense - still the same.. we still played a chip away style, although Ainge did go down field more this game than probably all the 3 other games... its really hard to tell whether Taylor is the real deal, i mean he had over a 100 yards receiving but he didnt show up against UF... Rogers should be buried in the depth chart... Moore and O'neal look as if the coaches are trying to work them in on the offense more and i expect to see a lot more of both of them by UGA... the o-line was good as usual... Coker is our #1 back, hands down!... Foster showed great vision but does not have division 1 speed, well atleast not for a RB

Defense looks suspect still... the d-line is horrible with the exception of Ayers and Ben Martin (when he got in)... our lb's still suck, i think its time for a change somewhere in there couldnt really point out exactly where the weakness was, Karl played good tho... Berry was everywhere... Vinson showed some nice skills at the cb position, but needs to work on tackling, but i think he just needs to get adjusted to the position at this level which wont be too hard for him... Hef is still a no-show

Improvements - Parrish wasnt playing... O'neal.... Berry is getting better every game

Coach actually showed some intensity this game when he thought Rogers brought in a pass on the sideline but was pushed out by the defender before he could put his foot in, he got up in the ref's face!, i thought he was gonna slap him lol

Unless i missed something, Donald did not play nor did Chris Walker... Martin played about 6-8 snaps and really impressed me.... Moore and O'neal like i said are working themselves into the rotation.. Vinson is our #2 cb imo... i dont care how much Mckenzie sucks in coverage, he needs to be on the field because he gets in on just about every tackle... Creer got a lot of carries!

I appreciate the feedback man. I really do. I wanted to go ape on the bar owner guy but man I just didn't have it in me. Crappy week, I didn't want to make it any worse by getting barred for moaning over Tenn and Arkansas State.

Robert Ayers pulled a Dwight Freeney move to get to their quarterback...he got hands on the QB as he spun out of the tackle, scrambled out to the left, met a wall of orange and threw it away. Ayers looked really good last night.

That was more how I took it. I didn't see any amazing plays, though he did get a few tackles that came his way late in the game.

Any word on M. Johnson's chest contusion?

well other than actually make tackles, he also on one play got to the running back to make a tackle on the other side of where he was lined up and the back only got like one yard

yea but making simple tackles hasnt been a strong point so far this season so i get excited over a simple tackle with any football that i watch as if it were a "jacked up" hit
