Does Ja'Kobi Gillespie time at Maryland last year when he played Michigan twice give any advantage to us? I am thinking he knows some of the players and schemes. Perhaps he could provide some bit of knowledge that could help with game planning. Even just a small detail at a crucial time during end game that might make the difference. Just me trying to think of any advantage we can gain from a short turnaround.

Perhaps none of this might matter, lol. Just a casual fan excited for this Elite 8 run. I would like to think having played against some of the players could help some.

Double - Edged Sword sorta speak.
Tough game regardless, but, if we can hit the put-backs at a higher % we can win.
Gillespie will get his shots. Barnes will make sure of that.
There appears to be an arena depth issue on the Home side of the court (East side)

With the Michigan size, will put back opportunities be all that plentiful? How will Estrella and Carey operate being at a bit of a size disadvantage?

A bigger concern for me is the officiating. Call me a tin hatter if you will, but I think there's a desire to see both Michigan and Duke in the final 4. Having a 6 seed...especially one named Tennessee...crash the party can't be a pleasing thought for the networks. Yeah, I'm seeing another 5 vs 8 in this one.

Yeah. Over/Under Estrella, Okpara, Carey a total of 6 fouls in the first 10 minutes? Maybe add in Ament and make it 8.

I agree to a point, was watching a discussion forum and they mostly talked about what a tremendous match up Michigan and Arizona will be. So for the Network I'd say that matchup and anybody named Duke would be preferred as it winds down.

I wondered if there was some Memorial Gymnasium-like effect going on against Iowa State… some of those first half shots were abnormally off. I hope we try to get the ball inside as much as possible, but especially when we are on that side of the gym.

Mara played at UCLA when we played them last year I believe and we only had Felix as the one big that game. I am not worried about Mara's size being a hindrance on our ability to rebound. He is tall, but he is pretty weak I've noticed. He got pushed around a decent bit by Bama.

Most of Michigan’s roster is new. I don’t think it will have any impact.

You constant ref complainers are now to the point that you can't even wait to the game tips off. Let me tell you what's gonna happen. Tennessee is gonna get some bad calls and your gonna get pissed and make comments about it. Michigan is gonna get bad calls and your not even gonna notice it much less acknowledge it.
