We're not holding up progress for some high school seniors. Bye, Jarvis. Never knew ya.

If we have to take a hit on next year's recruiting class to get the right coach in place (Gruden), then so be it. I'm tired of reading how next year's recruiting class is the be-all, end-all of the coaching search.

Agreed. If Fulmer had been given another year and we would have got this recruiting class, most of them would have rode the pine or would not have done much anyways. He can not develop talent. I would rather have just a few from this recruiting class and our current players if we can get a good HC that can develop them.

Did you expect anything different?

I'm sure it's much easier to sell a known situation than an unknown. When I graduated Highschool in the 80's, UT was still on the quarters system but was planning to shortly convert to semesters. Them not being able to give me a clear answer on what would happen with my credits when they switched systems made Alabama a better deal. 3 years later, UT was on Semesters like everyone else, and I finished up at UT.

I'm sure that whoever we hire will want to do his own recruiting. I'd hate to know someone filled up my team with Jonathan Cromptons and left me to figure out what to do with them.

Too bad. very good back. explosive player. maybe will come back to us after coach is named. somebody was gonna get lost in the shuffle anyways so this clears up a lil space. spend that scholarship on somebody who wants to play for tennessee.

Missing out on RBs doesn't make me that mad. We have Hardesty back and Creer. I would say we can bring in a very good RB the following yr. We want guys to come to UT to play for UT.

Wish Giles the best and he better hope he does play against us and meet EB. Poor kid I will send flowers. :ill_h4h:

Based upon how our "big" running back commitments have lookded in the past...

Cedric Houston
Derrick Tinsley
Jabari Davis
Montario Hardesty
Lamarcus Coker

I dont think Ill lose any sleep now that Giles is gone.

Derrick Tinsley made big plays when given a chance. The problem is he hardly ever got one.

I cannot believe he didn't wait it out...until like the first of next month. I know he is early enrolling, but to back out of UT and go to SC...wow?

Wonder what these calls from the coaching staff to commitments really sounds like? Is it possible that MH & Company are getting dumped on?

why would he wanna dump us for SC ?? WOW ?!!! haha

have fun trying to make the pro's there ....

For all of the "what have you done for me lately bunch"...lately SC beat the crap out of us, and they are having as many, or more pro prospectsl lately than we have....Answer that question? :)

We could offer Giles an Escalade like bammer does their recruits....Seriously if the guy doesent want to come to UT then he doesent deserve to wear the orange. We are not hurting in the running back stable, apparently we need offensive linemen...bad !
