360 version of Ghost Recon comes out today. Looks like a beautiful game and it's getting excellent reviews. I'm picking it up at lunch. I'll drop a quick impression later tonight after I've put in a couple of hours.

Also, Burnout Revenge for Xbox 360 is out today. It's also getting great reviews but it's not all that much different from the XBOX version.

Ghost Recon lives up to it's billing in the graphics department. Great stuff. Mexico looks great.

Gameplay is cool. This isn't like Call of Duty where you run around gunning people down as fast as you can. It's a lot more commanding your troops, placing them, deciding what to do, and then executing. You have to command blackhawks and where they target. You have to control you survalience drones to check out areas. Cool stuff.

I haven't been online but from my friends, it sounds like it's more of a Call of Duty type game. You obviously don't control your troops online, but acting as a team is important. It's more a gun down everyone you see type of game.

So, a little bit of everything to this fine game.

I think the Ghost Recon games are great. They rival S.O.C.O.M Navy Seals nicely (another great game)

Haven't played many tactical games aside from Rainbow Six... How does Ghost Recon compare to that series? Our XBox just croked so I might bum some cash to pick up an X360, and of course I'll need a couple games to go with it. We may pick up another XBox as well, so we can still play the old games.

If you like Rainbow Six, you'll like Ghost Recon. I find all the Tom Clancey games pretty entertaining. In Ghost Recon you have more freedom to do stuff. You still have an outline of mission objectives, but it's not as focused as Rainbow six....meaning it doesn't lead you along as much.

I'm sure the graphics on XBOX are pretty nice with that game.
