Getting Drunk at Football Games

I'm against it. Drunk guys = drunk fights = not a good time for anyone around them.

Get drunk before and after.

I don't think they should sell beer in any college stadium but that's my opinion. It's bad enough going to pro games and having the dumbass behind you spill beer all over you (happened to me more than a couple of times now).

Nah, most of the fans get enough beer and liquor before they get in there. The ones that don't know how to act ruin that posssibilty for everyone. Besides most don't play nice when they're drunk.

It's a double-edged sword...Although, It would raise more money for the University and Yes I personally would love it. I don't have kids of my own to bring to games and Fathers Tradition is to take your Son to Neyland. If there was a drinking section of the stadium, it would be outstanding, but I know as a drinker most parent's wouldn't want their kid's subject to language and other acts of misconduct ruining a bonding experience. That's why we buy so many airplane bottles beforehand and Neyland sales a whole lot of cokes.:shaking2:

I am heavily in favor of drinking. I am against people being wasted in a crowded, public place.

The problem is that there are far too many idiots who are unable to do the one without it turning into the other.

I probably wouldn't care either way. I hate buying beer at sporting events. I get sick of paying $6 for a miller lite.

It would also increase the liability to the university. One DUI death is all it would take.
The super dome has been selling alcohol for college games forever as well as NFL games everywhere. Have they been at that risk all of this time?

Against...

Last year I came pretty close to a brawl with a drunk UK fan. My wife had to reel me in. Not very good with my 7 year old beside me.

there are already enough drunk folks around on gameday. I just ask they keep smokie dogs at a reasonable price!

Was just about to say they sold beer and liquor drinks and wine at our Tulane football games. Probably less red tape since the games were off campus. But then again alcohol was sold at our baseball games on campus as well, so it's probably more of a New Orleans "let the good times roll" thing.

Whether you're in a bar or the game, you can be held liable if you serve an intoxicated person more alcohol. I'm not a cop nor an attorney but there are liability issues there. I know many restaurants and bars have training specifically for this issue.

Can you imagine the scene at many of last years games if alcohol was sold? The field would have been rushed by angry, drunk, mobs.:)

Bars can control what a person drinks. When at a game no one can control what was hiden in the pants
