okay, so im sure everyone has heard of these already, but i just got pumped reading them and thought id share...

jesse scroggins:

“I loved it at Tennessee. It was very comforting, I loved the family atmosphere in Knoxville."

“They love the new coaching staff. To see how happy the older guys are was very inspirational to me. They are buying in to what Coach Kiffin is doing, I think great things are ahead for this football program.”

[in reference to CLK] “He is very young and very athletic. He is out there going through things with us, it’s really cool. He is very accessible and a lot easier to talk to. You can talk to Coach Kiffin about anything.”

here was the link:

you are being redirected

and of course, there was the thread earlier about his myspace and the picture of "HIS ROCK."

I'm really torn about where I think he'll end up. My gut says TN, but with USC and Florida in the mix I just can't make up my mind.

im pumped. im not expert, and i have no evidence to back this up, but i just have a strong feeling UF isnt as strong as a factor as youd think. i think USC is the big threat here, and we have to win him from their...

but like i said, i really cant back any of that up with much more than he talks great of UT a lot more than he does UF.

I know Scroggins is the top QB left on the board for UT, but can someone compare him to a prior sucessful SEC quarterback? Since this year's crop of QB's is down, I'm wondering if he is definetly legit? For example, does he have better skills than Ainge, Stephens, or Crompton coming out of high school?

That said, i hope he is a vol!

Hmmm...I posted that I thought he looked like a young Tony Robinson because of his arm strength and my post is suddenly gone...Does mentioning the name Tony Robinson offend somebody?...lol

Some people in the Scroggins thread compare him to guys like Jason Campbell or Tony Robinson.

I don't really know, as I haven't watched much film on him or anything.

But being the coaches' #1 target is good enough for me right now.

Guy is not nearly as tall as Jamarcus.

He's more like Jason Campbell in my opinion.

That's who a lot of people are comparing him to. Work on his speed he could be a Vince Young... doubt it

Well if we're into making comparisons on a public forum....

Kid just looks like a much more mature peyton manning to me, I think he puts John Elway to shame as well, I also heard he was teaching david reaves and jim chaney a few things about quarterbacking while he was at camp

I guess we ran out of black qbs to compare him to. How about Warren Moon?

I'll be happy when he sigs his letter of intent. Or at least when he declares his commitment. Though we all know that doesn't mean anything (Chris Simms anyone?)
