So what is "Tennessee Football" and how do you get back to it?

I think of Great WRs....don't have any
I think of emotion....don't have any
I think of Great D....don't have it
I think of 250+ yards rushing per game....laughable
A winning tradition has turned into a O God please don't lose tradition.

What has to be done to get things back. A lot of people think a new coach will help. Yeh I think it will help, but back to a TRADITION of winning, and get back to Tennessee football. There has to be more than one thing to blame.

I don't know how anyone else feels but I think that the problem of this year and recent years teams is that we are still trying to play typical Tennessee football and it never will work again unless you are talking about winning and winning like the UT teams of the 90's did. Guys, we will never be able to line up and rush for 250 yds a game ever again unless we do it in a different way than the 90's teams did. You have to be innovative like Meyer and the Gators to be able to run the ball like that. Teams are just too good now to just let you line up and run it down their throat like we used to. This is the problem with Fulmer and the staff. They think that they will somehow be able to run the same old predictable offense and be able to rush for a mile in each game. Football has changed and Fulmer hasn't. Until we find a coach that is willing to change with the game, we will be stuck in a rutt. Terry Bowden said it well the other day when he said that Tennessee was married to an era of football.Unless you are referring to "Tennessee Football" as simply winning games, I don't want us to get back to playing "Tennessee Football." I prefer to think that you are referring to Tennessee Football as simply winning ballgames.

USC runs for alot of yards without being very innovative.

We are averaging 4.3 yards a carry not bad at all. the problem is the opponents are averaging 5.3 & giving up 28.3 to 3 in punt return yards.

I say we take a tape of Cutcliffe & Eli Manning's play-calling in 2003 and copy.
