For the limited playing time he has seen this year, he has been responsible for 2 or 3 personal fouls, his worst being the punch thrown in Moreno's gut today.

There is a reason it took so long for him to get here!

He hasn't lived up to the hype like I thought he would. But, the punch was awesome. Moreno is a punk.

What do his bad grades have to do with his personal fouls?

Punching an opponent in the gut when you and him are the only people involved (not a big pile of bodies) ain't very bright.

Getting your arse blocked to the ground by a running back and then sucker punching him in the gut.....that is not emotion

So i take it you would take your beating and be ok with it?

I agree somewhat, but that emotion resulted in 97 yards of penalties today.

Agreed. Still no excuse, but like i said, atleast he looks like he cares...

That's exactly what I said when it happened. He's supposed to be a 260 pound DE. Don't let a RB pancake you next time.

The punch was bush league. He wouldn't see the field for a long time if I were coaching. Don't punch somebody for pwning you.

That's the true definition of punk.

As mentioned, he has several personal foul calls, was late running out for a punt today and made us waste a TO, and has not lived up to any of the hype.

I appreciate the efforts he gave and sticking with UT, and not growing labia like Nunes. Get your head screwed on Gerald.

how can any of you guys condone what he did...

what a stupid play...

unreal.

put his arse on bench until he learns how to play with class.

doesnt matter if opponent a punk...doesnt mean you have to act stupid

Being ok with it does not condone being a thug with no clue about team play. He only cares that HE got embarrassed and resorted to being a street thug

I like how Gerald Williams punching a defenseless player on his back means he is showing emotion. However, if Arian Foster gets in the face of a player that pushed him to the ground, he's selfish and immature.

Didn't Richt do the same thing flooding the field last year knowing full well it would draw an unsportsmanlike penalty? HS coaches do this all of the time...when they are down they will send in a goon to "jump start" emotion. Please say you understand this concept or quit posting. This is nothing new. My coach did this countless times in the 80's.

Wow, not even in the same ballpark comparing Richt sending the team on the field to get them fired up after a score and a thug punch after getting owned by someone a lot smaller.

Sorry, I haven't seen HS coaches send in a thug to throw a sucker punch to "jump start" emotion. You are confusing HS football with hockey.

Your coach asked you to punch another player right in front of an official? I guarantee you Fulmer didn't do that. Odd that I didn't notice Gerald in the game anymore after that incident. You'd think if Fulmer were promoting that kind of behavior he wouldn't have benched the guy.

Wow, HS coaches do it so it must be crucial to player motivation. How about next time he just get his team pumped up by making a legal hit? Or maybe not get trucked by a RB he outweighs by close to 50 pounds?

This would be a great time for you to do this.

He was lucky they got the first down, If they didnt and I was the coach I would beat the living sh*t out of him. that is why they call all the kids playing for tennessee thugs and gangsters is because of that dumbass. He honestly needs to learn some respect. If you get trucked by a rb and you punch him, that is almost the equivalent to Crompton getting completly laid out by a corner back and getting in his face.
