Wow, he made me smile.. he took a monster hit.. stayed on his feet, and gained some more yards! that was the only part of the game worth getting happy over!
im glad to see he's gonna contribute

so now he's wasted though. If you're not going to play him, don't. Don't wait until the season is over and decide to throw him in there against Bama. Stupid move. He's supposedly been ready to play the past two weeks, why didn't they get him ready then so he could have made an even bigger impact on today's game? Stupid move bringing him in now IMO.

Only reason they brought him in is because Briscoe went out for the game early on. I think he will see more PT from now on.

Not sure what happened to LT today - and using Kenny O'neal on another failed WR reverse was the most retarded play call I've ever seen.

there's no point for him not to see more PT from now on. Put O'Neal there, put Hancock... Jones just got wasted. I wanted him in the UGA game, but now he's just getting experience. I'd rather have him as a RS freshman next year.

Gahh! idk, im just glad to see our coaches put in a playmaker..
Do you guys think he can take that #3 spot from Briscoe now since he's gotta concussion? i havent seen anything special from Hancock, and O-Neil.. and Moore shoulda caught at least two more passes thrown his way..
I Think Jones should at least now be our #4 WR behind Briscoe.. but if he cant play next week. i think he could actually be the #3 WR

Not always - players have had anywhere from 1-15 plays in a season and still been able to RS... but I have no idea with him playing this late in the season if it will have an effect on it.

I'm pretty sure you can't redshirt if you play this late into the season. I'll see if i can dig that rule back up though.a

Edit: I can't find the exact rule, but I really thought it was changed that playing at all will make you ineligible for being redshirted. i thought only medical redshirts were allowed for players who had made minimal plays during the season.

yea, when he took that hit i was like DAMN! and on that pick that Ainge threw, the first one, Jones was wide open on the other side of the field.

yeah we are wasting him on a year that means nothing

Where exactly does your logic lie? Wasting him? So you'd rather him have ZERO experience next year when we'll need him more than we do now than gain experience in SIX more games.....half of a season......so he'll be even BETTER next year.

What's the point of having him as a freshman again next year and having the same crummy receivers when he can make plays, get used to the speed of the game, and contribute right now.

I'm amazed at how people say it's a wasted year or a wasted player or go ahead and put in Crompton since the season is over so we'll get ready for next year.

He needs to play, he's going to be good, and LOGIC would tell you that he's still got THREE years after this year. 3.5 years isn't much different than 4 and he can get valuable experience against some tough teams and with a really good QB instead of going out there and trying to do things with a much worse qb.

yea thats what i was saying, i enjoyed seeing him in there, but at this point it is too late for him to have a real impact on this season and it would be better for him to play a whole season instead of half of one... again i loved seeing number 4 out there but he should have been in there two or three weeks ago
