hopefully although when I blew out my knee i thought I was alright and went back in and finished the game so you never knowa series or two after Jone's injury i seen him standing on one of the benches and moving round with not much of a limp....so hopefully thats a good sign that its nothing to serious.....he came to the sideline in the 2nd half in street clothes with a walkkin boot and no limp...soo thats all i got....keep ya fingers crossed
He does everything else why not. Call me crazy, but i believe part of our offensive struggles have come because we have focused to much on getting gerald the ball. He is a playmaker yes. But the g-gun has been poorly mismanaged. We have some guys that have played receiver behind gerald. They stepped up for us last night. Distribute the ball around so teams can't focus on taking one guy out of the picture. Teams have locked in on gerald and it has hurt us. Especially with young qb's that have limited field vision. They tend to pick favorites and gerald was their main favorite. You might actually see us open it up even more now. Here's a question: if Jones can't play next week, do we see Berry on offense?
Its the only way playing berry makes sense on offense. Line him up, throw screens to him, run him long get a double team and use him as a decoy. I could have some fun designing a few things we could do with him. Most of all attack the defense with him. Lining him up behind center, they may as well keep him on defense. Thats not the most effective way to use berry or jones for that matter. Why must every dynamic player have a 'package'? I say just put Berry in the game at WR and let him run routes. If he gets open, throw it to him. If the defense is so scared ****less that they roll to him, somebody else is open. Why must he line up at QB, when everybody on the planet, including the corpse of Helen Keller, knows he's going to run the ball to wherever the motion guy stops moving?
I disagree. I think the g gun has been greatly mismanaged...He does everything else why not.
