Scout.com: Gerald Jones ready to help

Maybe our "Percy Harvin" style player of the future?

Looks like Jones is far healthier than I originally heard. My understanding from a few weeks ago was that he was as good as redshirted because he couldn't run. Hmmm...

Hope Gerald can provide a spark. The offense isn't bad, but the receiving corps could definitely use a guy that can create something electric after the catch.

I would like to see what the kid could do. He was impressive in the U.S. Army game.

He could BE percy harvin and they'd still only put him in on gimmick plays like they try to do with O'Neal.

Talking about playing the young, potential playmakers is all they've done. It's time to actually DO it.

Now that there is a shake up with Florida losing, they'll get conservative again and that means that we'll play the younger guys LESS more than likely. Knowing our doh doh's making the decisions, we're only likely to see Jones on special teams and reverses.

doesnt matter how many "playmakers" they have. gotta have coaches that know how to deploy them :banghead2:

O'Neal is on the field? Everyone get ready for a reverse. Maybe if we did a fake reverse, everyone in the stadium wouldn't know where it is going.

Gerald was actually back home this weekend and he was at our game this friday night.. He looked great and said he was feeling great.. Damn our Freshman QB looks like Gerald so much. He wears number 7 and when he runs the option its really scary how much he runs like Gerald.. He is only 14 and has only been playing football since 7th grade. Right now he is 6'2'' 185 and he is going to be great.. He is also a true QB. He doesnt have Geralds side to side quickness and speed, but straight line the kid can run and he is a better pure passer.. I hope Gerald can get back a couple of time s a year so he can help me groom the kid...

What we have is a good O team the prtoblem is with the D no matter how many points we score if the other team can match that we have a huge problem.

Fake reverse? Whoa. Easy there big fella, you're thinking WAY too far outside the box. Perhaps we could throw him a bubble screen?

by lately, do you mean in the ASU game?

Don't be an ass, Taylor has played way above anyone's expectations. He is 2nd in the SEC in most catagories with a hard schedule, he didn't pad his stats against ASU , he has been very consistent.

Harvin makes plays, the plays don't make Harvin. Just watch the games. Hopefully Jones is that kind of player. He sure looks like it on film.
