That’s just terrible management in the AD. Now they gotta also set aside millions for legal settlements.
Millions in legal settlements because a piece of roof fell and hurt nobody? What would they sue for? Emotional trauma from having a piece of roofing fall 25 feet away? I'm sure there will be lawsuits by the ambulance chaser attorneys, but this kinda sounds like something you would need an awfully friendly jury to get even a few dollars.

If you are referring to the contracted events planned and those parties bringing a lawsuit, I would assume even Georgia is smart enough to put a clause in the contracts in the event the stadium was unusable.

Georgia is kinda screwed on the death of the two kids but I just don't see this one costing them much. Maybe pay for the new spaces for the scheduled high school events or something and offer a pair of free tickets to a game next season to anyone close by the piece that fell.

Hate UGA as much as anyone, but this doesn't seem that outlandish. I agree though that the place was a dump even in the late 90s so I would hate to see how bad it is now.

I'm assuming he is referring to the Jalen Carter incident.

I meant settlements in the accident.

I would think Kennesaw State’s gym would have enough capacity to handle the crowd size those games have. If they have a game on Saturday a large high school or perhaps a gym built as part of FDR’s New Deal in the thirties would also suffice.

Don’t think someone won’t seek legal counsel because they were in the same building regardless if they were hurt or not

Been watching Southern Hoops on SEC Network. Just finished Episode 5 which is thru 1999. Absolutely no mention of the men'e team at all, except clips of teams playing us. No Ernie & Bernie (or Bernie & Ernie as they call it; it is an ESPN production). Have been very kind to Pat Summitt though and the 90"s. It's basically a KY love fest.

I attended a game there 37 years ago and it was terrible then if you weren’t close to the court. Big concrete support columns blocking your view of a portion of the court.
